Duties:
Deputy prosecuting attorneys are appointed by the prosecuting attorney. The deputy prosecuting attorney inquires into the commission of crimes within the county and prosecutes, on behalf of the state, all complaints, suits, and controversies in which the state is a party. There are two judicial districts in Mississippi County, the Chickasawba district to the north and Osceola district to the south.
